Michael Kwag (he/him) is the Executive Director of the Community-Based Research Centre (www.cbrc.net), a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the health of people of diverse sexualities and genders through community-led research, knowledge exchange, leadership development, and network building in Canada, where he has held senior leadership roles since 2017. He has over 20 years of community-based research and health promotion experience in HIV and sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBI) prevention and in a variety of 2S/LGBTQIA+ health promotion areas, including mental health, substance use, blood donation policy, and conversion practices. He is an applied researcher dedicated to improving 2S/LGBTQIA+ participation in knowledge mobilization, health promotion, and systems improvement, and has extensive experience working collaboratively with academia, public health, community, civil society, and government leaders.
