Jean-François Cayer graduated from Ahuntsic College in Radiation Oncology Technology and is a member of OTIMROEPMQ. He has been practicing at CHUM as a technologist since his graduation in 2011. In addition, for several years he has supported physicians in their clinics as a patient resource, primarily working with patients affected by gastrointestinal cancers.

Before becoming a technologist, from 2000 to 2007 he worked as a political attaché for the Member of the National Assembly for Bourget at the National Assembly of Quebec.
