Dr. Rodney Knight

Associate Professor of Public Health at CHUM

Dr. Rod Knight (he/him) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine at the School of Public Health at the Université de Montréal (ESPUM) and a Research Scientist at the Centre de Recherche du Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). He leads a research and training program in health promotion, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, aimed at improving health equity among equity-owed populations. Dr. Knight's research focuses on substance use, sexual health and mental health among those who use drugs, youth populations, people who are homeless and 2SLGBTQI+ populations. Before joining ESPUM, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia from 2018-2022.
